Congratulations to the Activity Workers at both the Huntley Centre and Highgate Mental Health Centre, who have been named as Stars of the Month for their commitment to C&I and its service users.
With their kind and positive approaches, the Activity Workers have all built great relationships with a range of patients, developing how they are treated and communicated with.
The Activity Workers regularly provide substantial support to the Occupational Therapy and Arts Therapy Service, assisting the team with clinical decisions and the completion of interest checklists.
Presenting the group with a certificate, Star of the Month badges and an M&S voucher, Darren Summers, Director of Strategy and Business Development, said: “The Activity Workers have made a huge contribution to patient care over the past year – championing each of the Trust’s values on every shift.”
Occupational Therapist, Briony Gruner, who nominated the Activity Workers for this award, said: “They put in an enormous amount of effort to provide activities on the wards, often receiving great feedback on their professionalism and contribution to the safety of wards.
“Their creativity knows no limits and they provide a wide-range of activities, including baking, art, relaxation and smoothie making. The Activity Workers really go above and beyond to improve patient’s experiences and quality of life. We could not do it without them!”
If you know someone or a team who always put the Trust values into action, you can nominate them for an award using our online form here.
